Service and repair — the work that doesn’t fit a category.
Most plumbing calls aren't a clean fit for any single specialty. A faucet drips. A toilet runs. A valve won't close. A leak's somewhere behind a wall. Service and repair is the catch-all for the work that just needs a competent plumber with parts on the truck and the patience to diagnose.
What we do
The work covered under service & repair.
- Faucet, fixture, and valve repair or replacement
- Toilet repair (flapper, fill valve, supply, wax ring) and full toilet replacement
- Leak detection — visible drips, wet spots, and water-bill anomalies
- Garbage disposal repair or replacement
- Pressure regulator installation and replacement
- Shower valve replacement — including replacements that match older trim kits
- Outdoor hose bibs — repair, replacement, and frost-free upgrades
- Whole-house water filtration and softener installation
How it works
What a visit looks like.
- 01
Diagnostic visit
We identify what is failing and what is actually causing the symptom (often two different things).
- 02
Three written options
Most service jobs have a budget fix, a recommended fix, and a premium fix. You see all three before we touch a wrench.
- 03
Same-visit completion when possible
For common fixtures and valves with parts on the truck, most service jobs finish on the first visit.
- 04
Documentation
Photo record and written invoice emailed within two hours of leaving your driveway.
What we see most
Common situations.
- Toilet running constantly — usually flapper or fill valve, roughly a 30-minute fix
- Bathroom faucet dripping — cartridge replacement, about 45 minutes for standard models
- Pressure regulator failure — house pressure suddenly very high or very low
- Shower valve leaking inside the wall — small wall opening, cartridge or valve replacement
- Garbage disposal seized — usually a stuck rotor, sometimes a failed motor
Common questions
Service & Repair FAQ.
What if you can’t fix it on the first visit?
Most service work is one-visit. When parts are not standard, or when diagnosis requires deeper investigation, we tell you on visit one, write a quote, and order what is needed. No second visit gets billed without a written estimate first.
Do you work on rental properties?
Yes — for owner-operators and small-portfolio landlords. We don’t take 24/7 emergency dispatch contracts. Our weekday-hours model is what makes everything else work.
Can you fix any brand of fixture?
We carry parts for the major brands (Moen, Delta, Kohler, Pfister, American Standard) on the truck. Premium and import lines (Hansgrohe, Grohe, Brizo) usually require a parts order and a follow-up visit.
Will you tell me if a fixture isn’t worth repairing?
Yes. Some older fixtures cost more to repair than to replace, and we say so directly. The three-option quote shows both paths.
